چکیده
A multi-cut rearrangement of a string S is S? obtained from by an operation called k-cut rearrangement, that consists (1) cutting at given number k places in S, making the concatenated X1·X2·X3·…·Xk·Xk+1, where X1 and Xk+1 are possibly empty, (2) rearranging Xis so as to obtain S?=X?(1)·X?(2)·X?(3)·…·X?(k+1), ? being permutation on 1,2,…,k+1 satisfying ?(1)=1 ?(k+1)=k+1. Given two strings T built same multiset characters alphabet ?, Sorting Multi-Cut Rearrangements (SMCR) problem asks whether ? rearrangements suffices transform into T. The SMCR generalizes several classical genomic problems, such Transpositions Block Interchanges. It may also model chromoanagenesis, recently discovered phenomenon consisting massive simultaneous rearrangements. In this paper, we study algorithmic complexity viewpoint. More precisely, investigate its parameterized complexity, well approximability, general case or when permutations.

Sorting Separable Permutations by Restricted Multi-break Rearrangements
A multi-break rearrangement generalizes most of genome rearrangements, such as block-interchanges, transpositions and reversals. A k-break cuts k adjacencies over a permutation, and forms k new adjacencies by joining the extremities according to an arbitrary matching. Block-interchange distance is a polynomial problem, but the transposition and the reversal distances are both NP-hard problems. ...
متن کاملGenome rearrangements , sorting by reversals
When comparing genomes in different species, a piece of chromosome in one species can be moved or copied to a different location in another species. Therefore, we talk about genome rearragements. So far we used alignment algorithms to compare two sequences, possibly coming from different species, but alignments do not capture all genome rearragements. An alignment of two sequences determines a ...
متن کاملGenome Rearrangements and Sorting by Reversals
Sequence comparison in molecular biology is in the beginning of a major paradigm shift a shift from gene comparison based on local mutations to chromosome comparison based on global rearrangements. In the simplest f o r m the problem of gene rearrangements corresponds to sorting by reversals, i.e. sorting of an array using reversals of arbitrary fragments. Kececioglu and Sankoff gave the first ...
متن کاملOn Sorting Permutations by Double-Cut-and-Joins
The problem of sorting permutations by double-cut-and-joins (SBD) arises when we perform the double-cut-and-join (DCJ) operations on pairs of unichromosomal genomes without the gene strandedness information. In this paper we show it is a NP-hard problem by reduction to an equivalent previously-known problem, called breakpoint graph decomposition (BGD), which calls for a largest collection of ed...
متن کاملSolving a New Multi-objective Inventory-Routing Problem by a Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm
This paper considers a multi-period, multi-product inventory-routing problem in a two-level supply chain consisting of a distributor and a set of customers. This problem is modeled with the aim of minimizing bi-objectives, namely the total system cost (including startup, distribution and maintenance costs) and risk-based transportation. Products are delivered to customers by some heterogeneous ...
